With the approach of her “Golden Years”, Ingrid seized the perfect opportunity to nurture and finally fully concentrate on her life-long longing for art and being creative. She returned to school and in 2002 earned a Bachelor's Degree, Fine Arts Major, from North Georgia College and State University. She furthers her knowledge and skills by taking many workshops with nationally known top master painters in the US, as well as abroad.
Born and reared in Germany, she came to the US in 1966. After moving many times within the states as well as overseas, she now has lived for 27 years in the Atlanta area, where she has become well-rooted.
Ingrid's paintings have been accepted in various juried Atlanta area exhibits and have won awards. They are part of private collections in the US, Canada, England, Italy and Germany as well as in local public venues. She is a member of four art associations, including Oil Painters of America, (O.P.A.)

My paintings interpret my visual and emotional memories that are representative of the very moment of inspiration in my own artistic way. Subject matter may be landscapes, flowers, animals or architecture. I express my recollections with bold and rich colors that express vitality, vibrancy and life.
