Born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Jenny came to the United States in 1976. Her degree in Library Science from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, allowed her to work for both the public library and the medical library at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. She took time off to received an Associate Degree in Advertising Art and over the years created invitations, pamphlets and other promotional material for a number of non-profits.

At the same time, Jenny began indulging her passion for painting, at first in oils but finally almost exclusively in acrylics. Her artwork has been displayed in the Ortiz (now defunct) gallery in San Antonio and she has received a number of commissions for her work.

About Jenny...

I call my style "contemporary realism." Flowers in all their shapes and color combinations inspire me to render them on canvas. Of course, they are not my only subject and I am always experimenting with other styles and adding other media to my artwork. Since my retirement and relocation to Atlanta, I have been able to devote more time to painting.
I have been fortunate to have had a number of my pieces accepted into shows in and around the city.
