Lynne spent her early years living in Europe and New York City. Her mother loved to travel and visit museums. For summer vacations they would fly somewhere, rent a car, and grab a guide book. Lynne's love of art was formed from spending time admiring works of art from Monet, Renoir and Georgia O’Keeffe.
About Lynne...
I have been studying art for years. It started as a hobby, then it tuned into a passion. It’s now more of an obsession. I have been fortunate to study with some remarkable instructors from the Spruill Center for the Arts. I enjoy entering into juried art shows. I mostly paint landscapes, but have been branching out into flowers and cats.
My painting style is fairly realist. I do not want to reproduce a photograph but an interpretation of what I see in nature. My plan now is to take my passion for painting and turn it into a business, Cat Tree Hill Studio. The name of my studio comes from my love of cats and landscapes, plus I live on a hill.
