Atlanta artist Arthur Jones attended the Atlanta Art Institute as a young man. He then entered the business world where he established two dental industry related companies from 1960-1997. Over the years Arthur never entirely abandoned his love and enjoyment of art. He studied with many nationally known artists. Since retirement he has devoted his time to painting. He is currently a signature member of the Georgia Watercolor Society, a juried member of Oil Painters of America, and a member of Marine Painters of America, Atlanta Artists Center and Dunwoody Fine Art Association.
Arthur has won many awards for his paintings. A still life painting is on permanent display at the American Banjo Hall of Fame and Museum. Arthur was also featured on a segment of a Wes Sargenson television special.
I enjoy painting on location when I travel and I spend as much time as possible visiting museums and studying the work of the great masters.
