Anne Labaire has been an artist from the moment she first held a Crayola in her tiny hand. What followed is a lifetime of creativity and experimentation in a range of media from painting to batik to pottery and mixed media. Anne and her husband Ron were professional potters for many years before opening their own fine craft & art gallery. After more than a dozen years Ron retired and Anne returned to painting. She plays/works daily in either her private studio at home or her public studio in Norcross, GA.

About Anne...

My paintings are a composite of realism and abstraction. The artwork is poised to communicate a concept clearly while leaving room for the viewer to bring their own interpretation to the piece, making each artwork a personal experience. My subjects may be familiar while my personal style enhances perception by letting the viewer perceive patterns, color harmonies and narratives that would be hidden by direct representation.
