Mary Mize Corbitt is a native of Alabama where she received her formal education. Over many years since first choosing to pursue art, she continues to enjoy creative endeavors. She has taken college classes in art, studied with private teachers, taken numerous classes, workshops and seminars including many led by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists.

Now living in Atlanta, she works hard to enhance the gift of painting using various media, techniques and styles. She has participated in shows in Georgia and surrounding states.  Prints and note cards from some of her original art were well received. She has been a member of several art groups, participating in competitions, exhibits and shows, winning many awards and ribbons and earning the respect of fellow artists. She has donated much time and many pieces of art in giving back to the community.

The friendships and contacts sustained through all of these involvements are validating, inspiring and encouraging. This gives her the resolve to do even better on the next project.

“All great art is the expression of mans’ delight in God’s work, not his own” - John Ruskin
