Dunwoody Fine Art Month, October 2025

The month of October is our annual chance to share work from DFAA artists with the Dunwoody community. We had over 20 businesses and 32 artists participating in Fine Art Month this year! Chupito’s Azteca Grille hosted our kickoff reception on October 8. We had artists drawing and painting from a model to show what lies beneath creating a masterpiece. there was also music and a speaker from District 5 Band. Additional speakers from City Springs Theatre and Dunwoody Gallery spoke about the importance of Art in the Community. Everyone enjoyed appetizers, drinks and music from the band.

Our closing reception was held on October 26 at Dunwoody Gallery. It was a Meet the Artist wine and cheese reception hosted by Dawn Tresh, owner of the gallery and DFAA member. Create Dunwoody has been very helpful with sharing new businesses that wanted to participate. They also printed our brochures as a donation and part of our arts celebration. Thank you! The other large donor/sponsor was Dunwoody Animal Medical Center with a very generous monetary donation! Dick Blick donated a gift certificate. Our closing reception was compliments of Dunwoody Gallery! Thank you to all the participating venues for 2025!

Thanks to Julie Marshall and her amazing committee for all the support and hard work. Thanks to DFAA members for jumping in as captains of the businesses. We have gained multiple new permanent venues as a result of DFAM '25.
