The Sandy Springs Library invited DFAA members to exhibit work with an ocean theme during the month of June, 2022. Twelve of our members submitted their work for an exhibit of 18 water-themed works. The exhibit was organized by Sharon Weiss with installation assistance from Barbara Riordan. Donna Barnhart purchased and pre-assembled table and floor easels that were required, since the library does not have walls to accommodate artwork. The participating artists were: Gay Allen, Donna Barnhart, Becky Bennett, Linda Brown, Sue Gallo, Jean Goldstein, Jenny Kalmin, Susan Proctor, Barbara Riordan, Pat Webster, Sharon Weiss, and Adrienne Zinn. The library sponsored voting for a People’s Choice award that was decided at the end of the exhibit. We were fortunate to have a very nice article in the Rough Draft blog that is distributed in Dunwoody, Sandy Springs and Brookhaven. Pictured below, "Waiting in the Calm" by Adrienne Zinn was the recipient of the People's Choice award.
